The 16th Session of the Conference of the African Union Heads of State and Government will be held on 30th and 31st January 2011 in Addis Ababa.

The theme of the summit will be “Africa’s Shared Values: Implementation of a Pan-African Governance Architecture”.

The Summit will be preceded on 24th and 25th January by the 21st Ordinary Session of the Committee of the Permanent Representatives, gathering the ambassadors accredited to the AU headquarters, and by the 18th Session of the Executive Council, which will bring together AU Foreign Ministers from 27th to 29th January.

The 16th Session of the Conference of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government will be held on 30-31 January 2011 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the headquarters of the pan-African organisation.


The summit will be themed “Africa’s Shared Values : Implementation of a pan-African governance architecture,” the AU said in a statement copied to APA.

The Summit will be preceded on 24-25 January 2011 by the 21st Ordinary Session of the Committee of Permanent Representatives, gathering the ambassadors accredited to the AU Headquarters and by the 18th Session of the Executive Council, which will bring together, AU Foreign Ministers, on 27-29 January 2011.
