Ethiopia will host the Fourth International Policy Conference on the African Child (IPC), from 7th – 8th December. It will examine successful budgeting for children in the context of both international experience and African realities.

The conference will focus on the central role effective budgeting has in the realisation of child rights in Africa.

The 2011 African Report on Child Well-being will also be launched during the conference. This report will look at the issues of investing in four key areas – health, early child development, education and social protection – as well as Africa’s commitment to child rights.
